Apple released iOS 6.1 beta 3 to developers today. The update enabled 4G LTE on iPad minis and 4th gen iPads on Zain’s 4G network. Zain’s 4G LTE band (band 3 or 1800Mhz) is supported on most global iPad 4 (model A1460) and iPad mini (model A1455) units as well as iPhone 5 (model A1429).
Attached is a screenshot of my iPad mini running iOS 6.1 beta 3 on Zain’s 4G LTE network.
STC and Mobily’s 4G LTE currently do not support LTE 4G band 3 (1800Mhz). We have to wait until these companies change their network to support these devices.

I think that you might be wrong on this one since it is not really up to the telcos to decide whether to include 4G services on iOS devices specially iphone 5 but apple’s. I might be wrong on this one but Ive read an article at macrumors that this was the case.
And oh, you could have included the ios version on your screenshot to prove that it is on ios 6.1 beta 3 🙂
Does facetime works on iphone 5 after you install 6.1 beta3? if not, how can I get it?
Does that mean LTE will be automatically enable with official update 6.1 later on?

I am planning to buy an iPad with Retina Display (iPad4) WIFI+Cellular in the Kingdom, there are some offers from bookstores, electronic stores, telecoms for the unit. Before buying, i just want to know if i bought the correct model (i prefer iPad model no. A1460-CDMA&GSM). Since such model has a wider coverage of LTE bandwidths (LTE 1,3,5,13 & 25).
Is there a way for me to know the model number A1460, even just by looking at the box label? and ways to check what model number did i buy once i have opened my iPad?

Why does so many phones that is running the iOS 6.1 Beta to use LTE giving errors , going blank , hanging or plain and simple just stopped working. I have a few friends using this and they all have issues of some kind as mentioned above.
