Apple has released a number of updates in the last few days: iPhoto 9.01 for users of the new iPhone, Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.5 for the high end Mac Pro computers and Logic Pro/Express 9.13.
iPhoto ’11 was updated to address a rare but serious issue. According to Apple, that in extremely rare cases, could result in data loss when upgrading a library from an earlier version of iPhoto.
To download from Apple’s website: iPhoto 9.0.1.
Apple also released a Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update for Mac Pro computers sold in Mid 2010. The update addresses the following issues:
- Resolves an issue that prevented the firmware password prompt from being displayed
- Resolves an issue that prevented the Boot Picker from being presented if Ethernet is connected to a network without DHCP
The update is available on Apple’s website: Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.5. Make sure to fully read the instructions.
With that firmware update Apple also released Firmware Restoration CD 1.9 that can restore the firmware of an Intel-based Macintosh computer.
And finally Logic Pro and Logic Express were updated to 9.1.3 only 2 weeks after the release of Logic Express 9.1.2 & Logic Pro 9.1.2. This update improved compatibility with Intel Hyper-Threading technology.
Updates are available at Apple’s website: Logic Pro 9.1.3 – Logic Express 9.1.3.
