FaceTime with iPod touch not listed on Apple’s Middle East pages

According to a previous post, iPod touch units sold by Arab Computers and carry the model numbers MC547AB, MC540AB and MC544AB has FaceTime disabled. And now the Apple Saudi Arabia iPod touch page confirmed that.

The same goes to the other Middle East countries: UAE, Egypt, Jordan and Qatar.

On these countries only Retina display, HD Video Recoding and Game Center are featured.

The exception once again is Tunisia’s iPod touch page.

Qatar’s page had Game Center removed! Most likely because the Qatar iTunes App Store has no games!

What about countries without the iPhone 4? Kuwait has FaceTime as well as Oman, Bahrain and Marocco.

Basically iPhone 4 carriers dictated their restrictions and forced them on other devices.
