iPad will be available on April 3rd, pre-orders on March 12th

Apple has announced that the iPad will be available in the US on April 3rd 2010. The Wi-Fi version will be released first and the Wi-Fi + 3G one will be released late April.

All versions of the iPad will be available in the following countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK late April as well.

Finally, on March 12th customers in the US can pre-order the iPad from the Apple Online Store.
