Steve Jobs has won Mobile Personality of the Year award at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. The award is presented to award “the contributions of individuals, established names, new thinkers, and rising starts, across the global industry and leaders of other industries that have contributed to the growth and convergence of mobile during the last year.”
The nominees for the award were: Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis and HTC CEO Peter Chou.
British actor Stephen Fry hosted the event, he called Apple the “Elephant in the Room” and said he will make sure that Steve Jobs will receive his award.
