Arab Computers posted some new promotions. What I find interesting was the MacBook Pro 17″ in that offer.
The problem with the first image is that the front of this MacBook Pro looks like the old models yet the keyboard appears similar to the new unibody. Unibody MacBook Pro doesn’t have the DVD drive on the front as well. The second advertisement image is the old MacBook Pro 17″ though.

After searching around on the Internet I have finally found this fake “MacBook Pro”. It was a mockup image done in February 8th 2008. One year before this ad. The original mockup was posted on Engadget.

This is most likely a mistake done by the advertisement designer. But it is also an obvious mistake that any Mac user should be able to notice. An Apple Authorized Distributor should not make mistakes like these. They have access to official images from Apple instead of a Google image search! Hope it gets fixed soon.
Please note that you are buying the 2008 MacBook Pro 17″ model not the 2009 unibody MacBook Pro 17″ released in 2009. MacRumors
