Twitter iOS App Updated with Push

The Twitter Universal App (formally Tweetie) was updated to include support for basic push notifications and addressed a serious iOS 4.2 bug that made the app useless on an iPad running iOS 4.2.

Twitter 3.2.1 features include:

• Push notifications for @mentions and messages
• Improved display of shortened URLs
• Correctly load reserved Twitter.com paths, such as http://twitter.com/newtwitter
• Fix connection error caused by a device clock being set incorrectly
• Additional retina graphics
• Enable geotagging in your account with one tap
• fix itunes links
• Inline media for iPad
• Manage saved searches for iPad
• UI improvements for iPad

Twitter is a free app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. It is available on the App Store.
