Mobily has launched the Multiple SIM cards service to customers in Saudi Arabia. Multiple SIMs allows you to share the same number across multiple devices (iPhone, iPad and Blackberry for example). This service was already available from STC for a few years.
Unfortunately Internet (3G data, Connect) can only be active on one SIM card. Making it almost useless for iPad and Connect device users.
From Mobily Facebook Page: “Mobily is pleased to announce the launch of the new “Multiple SIMs†service, which lets subscribers have up to five SIMs for the same number and bill. The new service lets Mobily subscribers use a single phone number on several devices at the same time, which is useful if, for instance, you have an iPhone, a BlackBerry, an iPad and a Connect modem that you want to use without the hassle of shifting SIMs. Also, users can specify which SIM is used for what, such as allocating one for voice, another for data, and a third for BlackBerry. The “Multiple SIMs†service is available to all prepaid and postpaid subscribers (except Rehal), and can be obtained at all of Mobily’s outlets in the Kingdom.”
