MobileMe iDisk for iOS 4 and iPad

Apple has released MobileMe iDisk 1.2 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. iDisk is Apple’s cloud based storage.

MobileMe iDisk 1.2 features include:

• App is now a Universal App, as in it will fully work on an iPad.

• Support multitasking in iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS with iOS 4: fast app switching and plays audio files from iDisk in the background.
• You can open files in other compatible apps (for example iBooks for PDF files).
• iDisk App remembers the last opened folder or file when launched.
• An email will be sent when sharing a file.
• You can copy and paste the URL of a shared file.
• Many stability improvements.

You will need a MobileMe account which cost $99 per year. MobileMe service includes: Mail, locating your devices, hosting and more.

The App lacks upload which is available on the Dropbox service app.

The App is free.
