iBooks 1.1.1 supports audio and video

With iTunes 9.2.1 Apple also released iBooks 1.1.1 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. iBooks 1.1.1 adds support for books that include audio and video content.

The update also includes:

• Double-tap an image within a book to view it in greater detail.
• Experience books that include audio and video.
• Enjoy substantial performance improvements when reading PDFs.
• Look-up definitions to English words inside books without a specified language.
• Addresses an issue that may have caused some book downloads to not complete.
• Includes many stability and performance improvements.

iBooks is a free app and available on the App Store.

  1. Hi Khaled! Do you know any work around to buy books from the US iBookstore? Because currently the Saudi Arabia iBookstore have very little books in its catalog.
