Apple donates MacPaint source code to Computer History Museum

Apple has donated the source code for MacPaint to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA. MacPaint was developed by Bill Atkinson.

MacPaint was one of the first applications with a graphical user interface. Released with the first Macintosh in 1984. With MacPaint Apple also included the source code for QuickDraw which was used to build the Macintosh user interface.

The source code can be found at the Museum’s website.
