Updates: AirPort Client and Time Capsule, AirPort Firmware

Apple has released AirPort Client Update 2010-001 also known as AirPort Utility 5.5.1.

AirPort Utility is Apple’s tool for managing the following Apple wireless devices: AirPort Express Base Station, AirPort Extreme Base Station and Time Capsule.

The update includes “general bug fixes and addresses the following issues:

* Not importing all settings when importing a configuration.
* Not propagating MAC address control lists when using an extended network. “

Apple also released a firmware update for Airport Extreme Base Station and Time Capsule which were released late 2009. The update is Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme Base Station Firmware Update 7.5.1 and includes the following fixes:

* An issue with wireless performance in the 5GHz band
* An issue with creating a Guest Network in the 5GHz band
