Today is the launch of the Apple iPad in the United States. And just like we said before: Arabic language as a keyboard and interface is still missing.
The iPad can display other languages like Arabic correctly.
Supported languages the iPad are: English, French, German, Japanese, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Russian.
We expect Apple to release an iPad update with support for more languages, most likely iPad/iPhone OS 4.0 at WWDC 2010.

There is an app in the ipad store to activate the Arabic keyboard
I am pretty sure it’s just a keyboard, it doesn’t “activate” the keyboard though.

Can it read Arabic e-Books when I upload them to iPad?
Please advice, Thanks!

are they unicode or windows encoded ?
Hey Khaled.
I don’t have an iPad right now lol, going to buy it inshallah though!
I really don’t know! I’m not into these PC stuff to be honest.. I just read them on my MacBook 😀 Sorry.
BTW Khaled, is there any difference between Kuwait or Saudi iTunes store and the US store?
Thanks!
US store have extra stuff that can’t be found in saudi. like Microsoft messenger (that will get the Arabs happy)
Oh.. That sucks! ;-(
