Apple acquires Intrinsity and Siri

The New York Times has confirmed that Apple has acquired Intrinsity, a semiconductor maker. The NYT estimates that Apple paid $121 million to acquire Intrinsity. Lecere, a company specialized in restaurant management software, has released the following video demonstrating their restaurant POS (point of sale) system on an Apple iPad. iPhone takes 72% of the Japanese smartphone market
