Vodafone has released the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in Qatar last Friday, December 11th, 2009. Qatar, Egypt and Jordan were the first Arabic speaking countries to announce an iPhone deal back in 2008 however it took Vodafone over a year to finally release the iPhone there. Vodafone started their operation in Qatar on the first of March 2009.
Prices for the iPhone in Qatar are as following (in Qatari Riyal): iPhone 3G 8GB – QR 2,399 ($658). iPhone 3GS 16GB – QR 2,999 ($823). iPhone 3GS 32GB – QR 3,499 ($960). Customers can choose from various plans priced between QR 35 ($10) to QR 550 ($151) per month. The iPhone price is the same for any of these plans. Data plans aren’t clear but it seems there is a limit of 300MB per month and no method of increasing that limit. Additional bandwidth cost QR 10 ($2.75) per 1MB).
Apple has updated their Qatar iPhone page to announce the availability of the iPhone 3GS, yet the Saudi Arabia iPhone page is still outdated.

Mabrook to Qatar 🙂
just a correction though, it’s not a limit of 300mb. You get 300mb FREE and after that you pay 🙂
Thanks.
What I meant by it is you can’t buy higher bandwidth packages
