The flaw in some NVIDIA graphics chipsets has caused Apple to extend their warranty on NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT based MacBook Pro notebooks from 2 to 3 years.
Apple has extended the warranty on these MacBook Pros to three years according to their help page regarding the issue. “Apple has determined that some MacBook Pro computers with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor may be affected. If the NVIDIA graphics processor in your MacBook Pro has failed, or fails within three years of the original date of purchase, a repair will be done free of charge, even if your MacBook Pro is out of warranty.”
We have talked about this issue last year and again we hope that this extended warranty will be fulfilled by the Saudi Arabia Apple Authorized Distributor, Arab Computers.
