Confirmed: IPhone 3G will be sold in Saudi Arabia and UAE
We have obtained the letter stating that the iPhone 3g will be Sold in Saudi Arabia and UAE. Mobily will be selling the iPhone 3G in Saudi Arabia. Etisalat will be selling it in UAE.
Mobily and Etisalat signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Saudi Arabia and UAE later this month. The models that will be available are the 8GB and 16GB, and it appears that it will be locked to the provider SIM. There will be a 3G service Plans for the iPhone 3G which will be announced with the launch of the product.
The good news is that the Device will be sold with a warranty. The bad news is no information about an upcoming Arabic localization directly from Apple. We are still waiting for Apple to add Saudi Arabia and UAE to the iPhone 3G country page.
