Good news for Apple. They posted record revenue of $10.17 billion and record net quarterly profit of $1.61 billion, or $1.78 per diluted share. For the first time in its history, Apple tallied more than $10 billion revenue, reporting sales of $10.17 billion for the three months ended December 31. That’s up 6 percent from
Apple upgraded the $999 white MacBook. The upgrade includes the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics card, Bluetooth 2.1 (from Bluetooth 2.0), a 1066MHz frontside bus and 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM standard option. The former MacBook white was sold in Saudi Arabia for 3999SR ($1066, very close to the $999 US price).
Apple released QuickTime 7.6 with includes improvements for single-pass H.264 encoding and AAC encoding. It also includes security fixes which protects from malicious files. You can find out more about those potential exploits from ZDnet.
