Cheapest MacBook Air in Saudi Arabia
It just came to my attention that Jarir Bookstore (not just a bookstore, that’s their slogan… no kidding). Is offering a promotion on MacBook Air. A promotion ending on the 6th of May 2008, a base spec MacBook Air for only 7690SAR which is a good price considering that the cost of a US MacBook Air (without shipping is approximately 6858SAR).
Jarir is also offering promotions on iMacs. Please note however that those are older iMacs, Apple already announced a new line of iMacs with more powerful processors (2.4GHz, 2.66GHz, 2.8GHz and 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo compared to only 2.0GHz and 2.4GHz currently available in the Saudi market).
My advice regarding the MacBook Air, go for it if you want that particular spec unless you want a 1.8GHz and sold state hard drive. As for the iMacs I suggest waiting the month or two (or three or four…) until the distributors get them in. And let’s hope they don’t wait a long time just to sellout the older models.

I could by a Sony laptop or two dells as a backup! with more power than this fashion accessory!
or 2 MacBooks from the right store.
The MacBook Air is useful for some but I would prefer it with a better hdd.
